This group exhibition, held at Aoyama Spiral, showcased works that stemmed from the designers' heartfelt passion, moving beyond the typical associations of design with problem-solving or social commentary. For this exhibition, Takatoku re-created SKY PATH and installed it in the esplanade, introducing a new scene within the window space designed by architect Fumihiko Maki. In the original piece, the phenomenon transformed natural scenery, but this time, set in a Tokyo urban environment, the work reflected the artificial movements of people and cars. The difference in how the phenomenon was experienced inside and outside the gallery space was also striking. These observations led to interesting discoveries regarding the contrast between natural and human-made changes in the environment.
