Tyyni, created by OSOTO lab. during an artist residency at a museum in Solf, Finland, focuses on observing the natural environment, particularly the irregular movements of wind and light, and the serene flow of time. The inspiration comes from the vast plains of a meteorite crater, where the sky and land exist purely, and time seems to flow slowly. The work expresses the quiet movements of this landscape and the forces of nature, capturing the connection between the sky and the earth. The distance between living creatures and humans in Finland became an important theme. Each unit of the piece responds to nature, swaying gently in the wind, with ribbons flowing smoothly as they catch the light. The reflective ribbons' colors constantly change depending on the position of the sun and the viewer, creating shifting landscapes from various perspectives. Water also plays a crucial role, inspired by Finland’s lakes and damp forests, with natural forces generating movement in harmony with wind and light. Tyyni embodies the natural forces witnessed by OSOTO lab. in Finland.
